Sabi Writers has officially reached another significant milestone in its commitment to developing Africa’s next generation of professional creatives with the successful signing of the first cohort the Young Talent Accelerator Programme (YTAP).
The contract signing held at the Sabi Writers Corporate HQ in Lagos will now afford the selected teenagers to access a free 5-week summer holiday internship where they will be exposed to workplace experience and acquire technical and leadership skills in the creative sector to prepare them for the future.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Head of Partnership and Social Impact, Lucky Agbocheni, reaffirmed the organisation’s belief that investing in young people today is one of the most impactful ways to shape the future of Africa’s creative economy.

The Young Talent Accelerator Programme (YTAP) combines intensive learning sessions, practical assignments, mentorship, character development, and real-world professional exposure to prepare teens for meaningful opportunities within and beyond the creative space.
This milestone marks the official transition from programme on-boarding into full implementation, setting the stage for the next five weeks of immersive learning, innovation, and transformation, starting August 3rd and ending September 4th 2026.
